Hiroshi Toyofuku's flower vase features stunning dynamic color pallet resulting from the climbing kiln's transformative process. The pattern is ahieved without any use of glaze, but simply with the flow of air, fire, and the ashes in the kiln.
Unglazed pottery reveals the true energy of clay and fire. Toyofuku preserves the innate characteristics of clay harvested in the Bizen region, employing a lesser-known clay preparation technique called "shizen-nerikomi".
This Toyofuku vase, bearing the imprints of fire and the energy of the land, serves as a powerful centerpiece.
The vase will be delivered with an accompanying box signed by the ceramist.
