Gato is a ceramics gallery and shop in Berlin, working with a small group of potters and kilns across Japan.

For centuries, people have found beauty in the things they use every day.

The works we present are made to be lived with: to hold tea, carry flowers, and become part of everyday life. Each piece leaves the hands of its maker with its life still ahead of it.

Every object carries a story. The clay it came from, the hands that shaped it, the kiln and the fire, and finally the life it enters. Beauty is only one part of that story.

In our Berlin showroom, the ceramics are in use rather than behind glass. We invite you to hold them, use them, and discover the piece that will remain with you for years to come.
